Enviro Buildings Addons

Enviro Buildings offers a variety of add-ons designed to enhance functionality and efficiency. These include comprehensive lighting options that ensure optimal visibility in any environment. Additionally, load centers and circuit breakers are available, providing reliable and secure power distribution throughout the building. To accommodate various electrical needs, Enviro Buildings also offers multiple plugins and switches, allowing for versatile and customizable setups tailored to each project’s requirements. These add-ons make it easy to create a fully equipped, safe, and efficient modular building solution suitable for a wide range of applications.

Load Centers

Load Centers come in several sizes but we offer 3 sizes; 100A, 200A 30 Space, and 200A 40A.

Spaces refer to the physical size of the load center and the amount of physical breakers that can go in them.

The A in 100A and 200A  stands for amps. This is often called the size of service. Amps refer to the amount of electrical current that the load center can distribute. Electrical service selection has nothing to do with the size of the building and more to do with the amount of electrical equipment going into the shelter.

Circuit Breakers

Circuit breakers are used to distribute the electricity to the difference pieces of equipment within the shelter. These are like on/off switches that coninually monitor the number of amps running through them. If the amps go to high, they will automatically turn themselves off to protect equipment and to prevent a potential fires. Circuit breakers need to match the electrical that they are servicing.

Disconnects

Disconnects are essential on/off switches that control the power flow to a load center or even an entire building, allowing for quick and complete power shutdowns when needed. Some disconnects include fuses, enabling them to function similarly to a circuit breaker by providing added protection. Their sizing depends on the load center they support, ensuring compatibility and safe operation.

Transfer Switches

Transfer switches are almost always used when a customer is utilizing a generator. They are also size dependent and should match the size of the load center. They come in two main varieties, manual and automatic. Manual transfer switches will have a handle on them so that a customer can physically change the position of the switch. Auto transfer switches will change the power source on their own in the event of a power outage.

Duplex Receptacle

Standard Wall Plug – Each Duplex Receptacle will need a 4×4  box cover.

Quadplex Receptacle

Two standard wall plugs in the same box. Requires 2 duplex receptacles, 4×4 box and cover.

GFI Receptacle

GFI receptacles are typically used indoor around plumbing or for exterior applications. For our projects most of these will be for outdoor applications. Since these are used outdoors, they will always require the GFI, a special waterproof box and a special waterproof cover.

Light Switch/3-way Switch

Common light On/Off Switch. Light switches are used everywhere just to turn on and off lights. The only thing tricky about switches can be when a project has two doors. In this case it is appropriate to order two  3-way light switches. A 3-way switch will always be bought in pairs. They work together so that the light can be turned on/off from different locations within the shelter. Every switch will require a 4×4 box and cover plate. In some cases, a client may have an interior and exterior light on a project. In this situation you may mount both switches in the same box and get a double switch cover.

4′ Interior LED Light

4′ LED lights are used for general indoor lighting and are our typical recommendation. Other types are often requested and will have similar function. All indoor lights should be ordered with a 4×4 box as well as a cover.

Emergency Exit Lights

Emergency Exit lights are often requested and are often required as a piece of safety equipment. They come with a battery backup built into them. This allows them to work for a while in the event of a power loss. All emergency exit lights will require a 4×4 box.

Exterior Light with Photo Cell (Dusk to Dawn Light)

These are outdoor lights that will only turn on when it is dark outside. These are usually hardwired but could potentially have a light switch as well. Every light will require a 4×4 box, cover and a 5″ threaded nipple to penetrate through the wall.

Exterior Flood light with Motion Sensor

This is outdoor light that will turn on when it detects movement. A light switch will usually accompany this type of light. Every light will require a 4×4 box, cover and 5″ threaded nipple to penetrate through the wall.
